Arches National Park is not dog friendly!

We saw that this park had the little dog on the leash icon. We got there and paid our $10 entry fee and then were given a brochure about pets. As we were driving thru, I read that dogs are only allowed in the parking lot! It was 100F at the park so no way were my girls going to just stand on the parking lot. We took a few photos in front of the drive up to arches. I stayed in the car with the girls while Jim hiked up to a few for photos but we left pretty quickly. I totally understand some trails are not good for dogs but some of these arches were only 300 yards back! And just enforce the clean up rule! But definetly not dog friendly especially if your dogs get bored walking in circles around parking lots!
